Our Role
Golder provided environmental and engineering services for the Big Haynes Creek Storm Water Wetlands Implementation project. The scope of work required watershed-wide BMP site selection and design, a first of its kind in metro Atlanta. The study area included approximately 100 miles of streams and an overall watershed area of nearly 32 square miles. Tasks included: NEPA Environmental Information Document and agency coordination; watershed inventory; site feasibility assessment and selection; stormwater wetlands design and specifications; hydology and hydraulics; bid documents; Section 404 permitting; and construction oversight. We are also conducting water quality performance monitoring at the site.
